Campaña de Latinos & BRCA para el Alcance Comunitario Usando Carteles
Como parte de la iniciativa de Latinos & BRCA del Basser Center, hemos lanzado una campaña para el alcance comunitario usando carteles para crear conciencia, proporcionar recursos y ofrecer apoyo a comunidades latinas sobre mutaciones genéticas del BRCA en hombres y mujeres. El Basser Center
Fundado en 2012 por exalumnos de la Universidad de Pennsylvania, Mindy y Jon Gray, el Basser Center for BRCA en el centro de cáncer Abramson de Penn Medicine es el primer centro integral para la investigación, tratamiento y prevención de tipos de cáncer relacionados con el BRCA. Sobre Alejandra Campoverdi
Alejandra Campoverdi es una abogada vocal de la salud de mujeres, la fundadora del Well Woman Coalition y una previa asistente de la Casa Blanca al Presidente Obama. Ella fundó el Well Woman Coalition en 2018 mientras se sometía a una doble mastectomía para bajar su riesgo de cáncer de mama después de sacar un resultado positivo por una mutación de BRCA. La iniciativa del Well Woman Coalition empodera a mujeres de color tener autoridad sobre su propia salud y curación a través de conciencia, educación y apoyo.
