Heidi Rieger

Heidi has an LMSW from NYU and a private practice in northern Westchester, County NY. She graduated with a BA from Barnard College. Heidi serves on the Boards of Facing History and Ourselves New York Advisory Board, Jacob Burns Film Center and ReSet Westchester, which is a newly formed refugee resettlement group. She has been a member of the Basser Center Advisory Board for 6 years.

Heidi learned that she carried a BRCA2 mutation in early 2016 and underwent a prophylactic double mastectomy. She is the mother of three daughters, one of whom has a Masters in Genetic Counseling and BioMedical Ethics. Heidi is committed to telling her story, and educating all about the importance of genetic testing. It’s the power of the sisterhood to carry this forward.
